I was thinking the other day (and I do a lot of that) and I found myself stopping on the word sidetrack. I then consulted with Mr. Webster, who continues to be an authority on the definition of words (why I do not know) to find out what is the accepted perception of this word. He informed me that sidetrack can be both a noun AND a transitive verb; news to me. So, according to Mr. Webster, sidetrack means:

(NOUN)

1.   siding

2.  a position or a condition of secondary importance to which one may be diverted

(TRANSITIVE VERB)

1. to shunt aside

2a. to turn aside from a purpose; deflect

2b. to prevent action on by diversionary tactics;     i.e. Sidetrack  an issue

So, sidetrack is both the place you end up, once diverted, AND, the action engaged to divert you to that place. Either way, you were on the road to a purpose and now you are on another road toward a different purpose.

O. K…With that being said, I was then reminded, by a TV commercial, that the communications-powers-that-be, are retelling the V series for the 2009-2010 audience. Being a V fan from back in the day, I remember how the Visitors sidetracked humanity by bringing their gifts of technology to the masses, while they appealed to the pride of a select few, recruiting cohorts, who gleefully locked-step to their agenda.

On a more personal and intimate level, think of the times you have been sidetracked by a so-called friend, an associate, a bully, who was able to convince you to go against what you believe to be right and to do something you believe to be wrong.

Once upon a time there was a popular slogan floating about: JUST SAY NO! You don’t hear much of that anymore as the majority lean more towards: if it feels good – DO IT! But the majority CAN be wrong, with a mere few representing the mind of wisdom/the right track.

The application of diversionary tactics, like any premeditated action, requires fore-thought and an agenda. For the purpose of deflection against a purpose, not only does the deflector need a plan but they must be persuasive enough to convince.  Unlike the train motorman who chooses to switch tracks and send the train in another direction, those who choose to divert and sidetrack others, places events in one’s path to send them in another direction. That takes a bit more finesse than throwing a few switches.

I am sure that we each can recall events in our lives that would be defined as sidetracks;  things that sent us in another direction than what we had purposed. Sidetracked, to stop one purpose for the sake of another purpose, of secondary importance.

Now multiply those experiences a gazillion-fold and envision the helter-skelter-mindset of a world off track.  Sounds like one big mess to me!

“I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life…”  Jesus Christ

I was thinking about the new movies I have seen and have heard of recently. Bio-technology keeps popping up in one form or another. Soon I will watch Surrogates which I am sure will take this subject to a whole- other- level, as it prepares mankind to accept the approaching alternate reality slowly unveiling itself. Life is being redefined right before our eyes and few really care that this is not how life was designed to be, as too many continue to doubt Creation as a reality.

Creation presupposes the existence of ‘el (GOD), the Supreme Creator, who has a design and a purpose for His creation. A greater number of the population of this planet seems to want a life without ‘el (GOD) and most of what He stands for. They want to have it their own way; their own design and their own purpose. We see individual’s design their own rules of what is right and what is wrong which, in the end, usually equates to everything is right and no-thing is wrong.

A world without accountability or consequence or consistency. 

But in school, where I study Business Management, we are required to study Ethics. We look at situations such as what occurred at Enron and WorldCom to illustrate the necessity of ethically based decision making. We discuss and sometimes argue the assorted principles, theories, perspectives and behaviors associated with Ethics. In the end, of course, it remains a matter of individual choice as to what is ethical. However, a decision is made as to what should be considered as a right action and what is a wrong action; indicating that right and wrong are necessary parameters in business. 

Similarly, ‘el (GOD) commands His people to make decisions between right and wrong actions. In the Bible, the word of ‘el (GOD), He states: Choose ye this day, who you will serve; indicating that there are choices to be made, day to day, and the choices made indicate whose servant you are. You decide by your choices how you determine/define life. 

Yet these choices you make may or may not align themselves with the parameters established by ‘el (GOD).  So what we are left with, in this world, is a state of chaos and confusion. The result of an environment with no benchmark: no universal right-no universal wrong. Every man (mankind) doing what seems right in their own eyes. 

Few realize that by their misguided contribution to this state of chaos and confusion, they are, by default, being a servant of Satan. Satan is described in the Bible as the god (little g) of THIS WORLD and the author of chaos and confusion. The more the majority align themselves with this state of chaos and confusion, the more they redefine the basic elements of life on this planet.  Life as created and designed by ‘el (GOD) is being redefined. 

As some of the more mature realize, the once good has become the bad and the once bad has become the good.  Everything has become relative. Life is becoming something else. 

I remember, back in the day, if two unmarried people lived together, enjoying the benefits of married life, without the blessed commitment, we called it shackin’ up. This label had a negative connotation and was equated with sinful living. But, since sin is being eroded from mankind’s thought processes, everything that goes with it is thrown out too. So now a “roommate” is a “fiancé”. Why is that? Why attach a term to a relationship that alludes to a marriage forthcoming? Why call your “roommate” your “fiancé”? 

Marriage-redefined; Life – redefined. 

Chaos and confusion marches on. Reflecting the dictates of he who you serve.

Tell the truth-shame the devil! 

People say they want a life without ‘el (GOD) and yet they desire His exquisite design of life for mankind, acknowledging that what He made is good. Marriage is one of the many concepts designed/created by ‘el (GOD) that are being redefined and incorporated into Satan’s state of chaos and confusion.  You want the blessings, without the Blessor.

Satan, the (little g) god of THIS WORLD,  realizes that if mankind knew the WHOLE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH SO HELP THEM, GOD, they would not go for his cracked-mirror-version he is feeding them. They would run to the real as fast as they could.

 And run they should, because the world clock is winding down and (the capital G) GOD, ‘el,  has determined a cut-off to this cracked-mirror-version of His reality of life. He is returning His Creation to His design and Life will reset to its real definition. 

Unlike the story of life popularized by the movie, The Matrix, where one’s perspective of life was reduced to taking a pill, in the true reality, you are offered the opportunity to remove yourself from this Matrix-like situation and live, by a choice of faith. It is written: choose ye this day who you will serve…without faith, it is impossible to please ‘el (GOD).

The life you save must be your own.

Time is running out.  

While in a moving car on the expressway the other day I had the opportunity to witness a panorama of clouds across the sky in front of me.  Such beauty and loveliness encouraged a feeling of humility as I reflected on the love that ‘el (GOD) has for His creation. The planet earth, and its skyline, given as a gift to humanity, for their enjoyment, pleasure and sustenance; wow! However, recognizing this display of love identified the flipside of hate.

First let me confess that I recognize that there are those of you who cling to the Lucifer-inspired concept of accidental formation. You who have been seduced to believe the earth and the solar system just happened by chance-that they stumbled together without a design-without order-or at least a design or an order that does not involve ‘el (GOD) as The Creator.  I have heard some espouse a creation thought (not a theory) that aliens (as in E.T.s) were involved in the “creation” of this planet and its parts. However, the question is still on the table: if that be so, then where did THESE creatures, qualified to do all this “creating” , come from-what is their origin-or were they an accident too?

It is written, in my book of basic instructions before leaving earth:  the FOOL says in his heart there is no ‘el (GOD). Unfortunately there are quite a few FOOLS on this planet. They control the schools, corporations, the infrastructures of cities, and households, to name a few spheres that they influence.  They choose not to love. It is because of them that commentaries like this become necessary. The humans that are unaware of the love relationship available to them need a periodic wake-up call; a consider-this message.

The fact remains that what we see is a beautiful planet, with its diverse and unique parts, humanity included, that resounds: “fearfully and wonderfully made”. With that being said, I return to my thoughts of that day on the expressway, enjoying the beautiful clouds and thinking (I do a lot of that) how heinous humanity has become. It is evolving into a something that ‘el (GOD) does not approve of.

Like in some science fiction movie, humanity continues to terra-form the earth into some ghastly environment harmful to our health (mind, body and spirit). While ‘el (GOD) continues to allow His rain, sunshine and air to fall on the just and the unjust, humanity continues to destroy His rain, sunshine and air, for the just and the unjust.  So ask yourself, what have you done for Him lately? A simple act of putting your trash in the receptacle on the corner instead of dropping it to the ground in the middle of the block would be a good start.  A change of mindset in one area can easily spread to other behaviors in your life that have negatively impacted this planet on which we all live.

It is written: love ye one another as I have loved you.  Consider how your actions impact so many others, as we are linked by design.

While ‘el (GOD) continues to love His creation, look around you and see that His creation (the human part that is) continues to hate Him in return. Yet one day, as we are told, His love will take a backseat to His wrath and His justice will have its day. The prophet Noah warned the people of his day that the rain was coming. You have heard how that worked out. So, in the words of the noted author James Baldwin: no more water, the fire next time.

May you take a moment to look up and enjoy the beauty of the clouds and look around you to all of nature, for one day they will be gone. Know that you were loved, whether you loved back or not. For those of us who loved back, well that’s a whole other story.

So true, everything is changing. But as most are going through their day-to-day lives, consumed by whatever it is that they do, they do not notice. Capt. Jack’s comment got me to thinking the other day (and I do a lot of that): what are some of “the changes” that have impacted the world over these past 9 years? As a citizen of the United States of America, (or should I say the Northern Union?), I look back on the Sept. 11 Incident first. One of those things that make you go hmmm…

Then, most recently, I reflected on the death (and possible murder) of entertainment icon Michael Jackson.

My short list also includes:

v Election of Barack Hussein Obama as president of the…

v The execution of Saddam Hussein

v The death of Pope John Paul II

v Y2K scare

v Pandemic scare

v Iraq war

v Virginia Tech massacre

v The European Union

v The EURO becoming the official currency of the European Union

v The economic crisis

v Hurricane Katrina

v The ongoing redefinition of words, concepts

That last one is of special significance in that it reflects the slow and steady alteration of LIFE as we once knew it. As words and concepts change, history is simultaneously restricted as the current and future generations SEE/PERCEIVE/UNDERSTAND the world and its events DIFFERENTLY than they actually occurred.

Another thing that I noticed while comprising this list is that there was no real positive event on it. Of course many will argue this point but at the root they will see that each of these events result in an overall negative reaction. Tell the truth, shame the devil.

Every positive event during the 21^st century that I thought about was one of a personal nature: a birth, an accomplishment, a trip or adventure, etc. But what has happened during these past 9 years to impact the world in a positive way???

Not to worry, self.  As a believer/follower/warrior of ‘el, I know that all things work together for MY good. No matter what happens in this world, I can guarantee MY place in the bigger picture by MY behavior. It is an individual thing. Choices-Changes-Consistency.

But the fact that the world is noticeably changing in this 21^st century makes me ask the question: are you ready?  A lot can happen before the year 2100.

I was sitting here thinking (I do a lot of that) and realized that a whole lot of people these days are saying that they love Jesus. Some have ascribed to what they believe to be his Hebrew name since Matthew, Mark, Luke , John and the rest of the crew did not call him Jesus. The intent is correct of course, as the right name is important to salvation (No other name …).

However, the point of paramount importance is obedience (which is better than sacrifice). Doing what He said to do is the point that seems to be lacking in this so-called love relationship. He said, IF YOU LOVE ME then keep My commandments. But what do you do: you argue as to what ARE His commandments. By the time you decide what is or what is not, you will lift up your eyes in a place you donot want to spend eternity in.

Some commandments (like those 10 you keep ignoring) are quite plain and simple to understand. Like the one about keeping the Sabbath. It has been the 7th day since creation but you have convinced yourself that somehow He changed it to Sunday (the 1st day of the week) but forgot to tell everybody.

If more effort was directed at the faith relationship that He teaches, the faith of a loving child to the words, will and wishes of a loving father, things around this planet would be quite different. Yet as we travel onward (and some also upward) we understand that the world is evolving, as scripture said it would. Perilous times have definitely come.

When you think back to that historic film made by Mr. Gibson that depicted the sufferings embraced by my savior on my behalf (I can only speak for me, although he did do it for everyone who is born) one can only be humbled and appreciative and joyful. The rememberance of that event is catalyst enough to stand against the wiles of the wicked one (and that would be the devil, Lucifer, Satan, Haylel). Yet far too many get spooked and cave in to their desires, encouraged by this devil, and still say that they love Jesus. Like the good book says: NO man can serve two masters-you MUST love one and hate the other. No tolerance here. The devil got to go.

So, you say you love you some Jeee-zus!

Then how come you do everything he says NOT to do?

…and I’ll see that prostrate cancer and raise you a 15% rise in HIV positive cases in Brooklyn!

Sounds kinda’ funny to some of you, doesn’t it? Of course it does. I can hear you chuckling right now. I understand though. Fear will do that. It will make you laugh to cover the pain. Poor thing. All it takes is one sure step in the right direction and you could be home free. But you will make any kind of excuse to yourself as to why you should not, to the point that you convince yourself that you can not. 

As a wise one once told me,

you can take a horse to the water but you can’t make him drink-you can take a fool to school but you can’t make him think.

Amen!

 People have repeatedly said, “that can’t be”, “that cannot happen”, “that’s impossible”, when their circumstances do not conform to their understanding of TRUTH, as if their limited understanding is the end of it all. Pride stands in the way of acknowledging the infinite possibilities outside of their finite understanding. They find it so much easier to declare things as myth and go on their way. 

But, to those who are in the know, demons (fallen angels) are real and a force to be dealt with. As demons, they manipulate and maneuver the affairs of man, they rejoice in glee while forcing chaos, confusion and havoc in people’s lives. Those who are in the know, however, have weapons with which to back them up and to force the demons away. Using weapons of warfare that are not carnal, some people have stood their ground against these forces of darkness and enjoyed a victory that other people would refuse to believe can even exist. 

I am speaking of those principalities, powers, and spiritual wickedness in high places you may have heard about that are the unseen forces that hate humanity with a vengeance, as they perpetuate wars, famines, and pestilence. They, collectively, are on a mission to detour man’s adoration of the Most High ‘el, to the worship of another: the god of THIS world. Working desperately to circumvent the journey of hearts and minds along the true path to goodness and to send it barreling down to a place of despair, they ferociously block any attempt to reach the one place of safety given to mankind. 

In every area of the globe you find diverse cultures and yet within those cultures you find a cluster of people who have been awakened to a higher truth. These people recognize that there is power in The Name just like The Book says. They have tasted and have seen and now walk in a newness of life that transcends manmade religions (that unfortunately usurp The Name and its philosophy to confuse mankind).

 This information I impart is a testimony of a power in your midst that will not be around forever. This power has its season and its purpose. Unlike the sales announcements at your local mall, when we say, “going out of business on the 1^st, believe me, we will not be there on the 2^nd”. When time is up and the power is removed from this earth, there will no longer be a defense against those demons (that most of you say are a myth). Now is the acceptable time of salvation. 

I just wanted to be one of the ones to say, I TOLD YOU SO!  You will not be able to say you did not know- you will only be able to say “naw…that can’t be”.

As we begin Pesach, a time to remember, a bit of verse was brought forth. It reminds me of what a joy it is to be observant. I am part of a covenant of love.

An ode to Deuteronomy

A list of instructions I have been given,

 to help me as I keep on livin’ .

I have been shown what is right and wrong

to keep me singing a joyful song. 

Food I need to stay fit and strong

and live a healthy life that’ s long.

Look for fins and scales on the fish in the sea,

knowing Yah has provided them as food for me.

He also said “A beast that parts the hoof, that is cloven in two,

and who chews the cud, is food for you”.

But of the birds of prey and the scavengers,

do not touch!

There’s a list in Deuteronomy because there are much.

Last and not least, leave those winged insects alone too.

They are also harmful to you.

But that leaves me plenty of good things to eat;

fruits, veggies, herbs and assorted meats.

Remembering obedience is better than sacrifice;

when I am not sure, I take time to think twice.

Yet to be safer, when in doubt, 

choose something else and do without.

To be sure you are in His perfect will,

listen intently and keep still.

He will speak; show you the way.

So that you can live to see another day.

I just watched Nick Cage’s latest film: KNOWING. The film opens with some interesting dialogue between a college

 professor (Cage) and his students. Without giving anything away from the movie, he ponders the randomness and

the order within the universe; coincidence or design. So the story begins.

In a world where scientists seek to have preeminence, they nurture order in the universe  in one hand, while

forcing randomnesswith the other. In what other discussions on earth can such a dichotomy occur

unchallenged? Can such exquisite order, harmony and replication occur from coincidence? Scientific rigor is

founded in replication.  It is the criteria on which truth is established. How many times did this event repeat

itself?

Question: For how many centuries have women given birth to humankind? In what generation did the male of the

species produce the offspring? When did the process change by which human life is created?

And, how about water: Has man ever made a drop? Don’t keep fooling yourselves people; that liquid you buy in

those plastic bottles is not water-it is merely a water-like beverage, produced in a laboratory.

(Remember, you’ve allowed the real water to be destroyed and have convinced yourselves that this enhanced liquid is better for you. Riiiight!)

Water continues to be that liquid that falls out of wherever, down to earth, on which our life is sustained, and

from which (some believe) we were created. Others say from the ooze we evolved??? Then let us drink ooze.

Scientists, GOD BLESS ‘EM, have been played (to use a street term). They know that if they were to have open,

non-restricted, discussion they would see things differently. Why is the mere acknowledgement of another

 possible causation of life, fighting words;  a reason to be expelled from school, from your job, from your

academic  community?

Now take a few moments to watch THE FOUR HORSEMEN; the film interview of Mr. Dawkins and his atheist crew

of experts.Listen and learn as they tell you why they believe what they believe. (I wonder if they could have

conducted that interview without the assorted liquid spirits around the table.) They profess to be scientists. Nick

Cage merely plays a scientist who trusts in the facts and when the facts contradict his opinion, he…  Anyway, Nick

Cage’s movie  is (in my opinion) more entertaining and it encourages you to think for yourself. 

Oh I forgot,  thinking,  like intelligence,  is not allowed.

exposes the escalating momentum across the United States of

America (he shows that other countries are not on this same page)

to disenfranchise a segment of the “learned community”; people

who entertain the possibility that Charles Darwin is not the

beginning AND the end to the Origin of the Species. 

NOTE: I spelled species with an S. For those of you not familiar with the party line, Charles Darwin is becoming the end-all to how ALL life began, not just human kind. 

Screw you, tens of billions of humans (no aliens allowed) who believe that some other school of thought could possibly have any form of verifiable credence. (The other school of thought that is, which includes intelligent design). It is accepted that aliens from outer space could have played a part in the creation of life on earth but “a god”, heaven (pun intentional) forbid. To the dungeon you go.

Kudos to brother Stein who had the resources (and the b*#ls) to say, “the emperor is naked” (and to you who do not understand the reference, Google® THE EMPEROR’S NEW CLOTHES). My brutha’ from another mutha’ hooks it up proper. He points out the similarities in this developing process of exclusion to the implementation of the Nazi ideology that haunts the world to this day. Land of the free? Home of the brave? O.K. and if you believe that can I interest you in buying a townhouse on Atlantis? 

If the encroaching powers-that-be have their way, ideas and concepts currently enjoyed by a great many will be utterly eliminated. Consider this, a world where the following words are erased from the vocabulary and, within one generation, they never even existed:  

god God             heaven hell      good evil       

redemption damnation

Holy unholy           Righteous unrighteous 

Jesus    Allah     Buddha

 soul  sin salvation

I am sure to many this would be a good idea, but stop and think for a minute what these words carry with them – concepts, ideals, values, a moral structure, guided parameters, benchmarks… that you have come to enjoy as part of the legacy of this country you call home. The USA is viewed by the global community by the characteristics embodied in these characteristics.  

For example, you do not recognize that those “ truths” that you hold dear, ingrained in the fabric of this country, came from a Bible, whose Creator/Author protected because they were His “truths”.  The phrase

“endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights…” 

was not referring to an alien entity from a far away planet or galaxy. 

You will be throwing the baby out with the bathwater, as they say, if you sit idly by and allow this movement to continue to escalate. You cannot have the blessings without the Blessor. As you systematically erode the foundation on which you stand, you will wake up one day in a science fiction movie. There are many scenarios to choose from but they all began from a similar source. 

The point is that once you start using that eraser you clear the whole file. Pulling at that one little thread eventually unravels the whole garment. Considering the possibility of Intelligent Design (whatever that may mean, as they are still out on that one) is part of a process of sound academic rigor. To not allow the possibility to be considered allows the opposite to take effect and to be in force (and you can guess what that means).

EXPELLED: NO INTELLIGENCE ALLOWED challenges the encroaching mindset that retards rigorous intellectual pursuit. Cowardly (yes I said it) mundane minds, afraid of a balanced free exchange of ideas of all kinds, have introduced horrific behaviors into American society, reminisce of …(you fill in the blank-history has a plethora of examples to choose from). However in the past there were always counter measures available,  to choose from an alternative value system, based in a morality, founded in a theology. You now stand to destroy that alternative value system.

 A smallsegment of the population has now determined that theology, as a concept, can no longer exist. They say that the origin of all life must now be crystallized in a single postulate (not even a proven theory) that is open to a myriad of interpretations. An environment of intellectual chaos is developing into the choice of the day, leaving one to question the necessity of education and the goals attached to it.

 If intellectual pursuit is bordered on all sides by a wall designed by …(again, you fill in the blanks ), then what is the point of school? Close down the schools and let each man develop according to the evolutionary cycle proposed by Mr. Darwin. Man will be what man will be. 

Leaving out any theological or any spiritual ramifications, to discuss the growth of human-kind, devoid of rigorous intellectual pursuit, is like eating a cardboard box covered in ketchup and calling it pizza. However, if you never ate real pizza how would you know the difference. Hmm…

 EXPELLED: NO INTELLIGENCE ALLOWED should be required viewing in all schools: Grammar school, middle school, junior high school, high school, college (jr. and sr.), graduate school, technical school, wherever there are students trying to learn something. They need a mental tune-up before the film is outlawed, along with the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Torah, the Bible, the Quran…

During this Olympic season the world watches as athletes endure ,in their respective disciplines, for the possibility of winning a prize. A scripture came to mind the other day as I was enduring, and I was reminded that endurance is a key component in the walk of faith.

…he who endures till the end shall be saved (Matt. 10:22, 24:13)Meditating on this scripture revealed some key elements that I had forgotten:

Endure (s) (ance) – Webster says that this is a verb and as school taught me over and over again, a verb is an action word, meaning that someone (or something) is doing something; i.e. the boy ran up the street, the truck rolled down the hill. So, to say I endure, I am doing something.

Webster continues by saying that endure is to undergo (as a hardship), especially without giving in; suffer (synonym: bear).

Since this was a scripture from the Holy Bible, I felt led to check out the Hebrew word for endure to get a better understanding of what is being said by Matthew and located

‘amad: to stand, remain, endure, take one’s stand

(A sidebar thought revealed that each of these actions is preceded by the decision, to do).

Now, back to my scripture-

This action of decided endurance is for the purpose of being saved.

Again, Webster’s perspective states that saved would infer to rescue from harm, danger or loss, keep in a safe condition.

It would also infer, and Webster did not mention this, that a savior is necessary (someone to do the rescuing and the keeping).

Bypassing a theological discussion on savior I will merely look at the phrase, being saved and interject another interesting point: is one being saved to or being saved from when they endure till the end? Hmm…

Either way, according to the scripture, a person makes a decision to take a stand to experience, undergo, suffer, hardship in order for someone to rescue them, in the end.

I would suppose that whatever they are being saved from and/or saved to must be worth the endurance; a great prize. A great prize like those gold medals the world is talking about.

Otherwise, the Savior, who is doing the saving, would not have said it.

But that’s another discussion.
